Dr Mamo Deksisa Desu is popularly known as the Best Orthopaedic surgeon in Addis Ababa. He provides advanced Ortho surgery and the latest procedures for bone fracture, knee, hip replacement, and spine surgery. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC), Marcia Surgical Center and AaBET Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Dr. Deksisa’s extensive education and training include undergraduate and specialty studies at Addis Ababa University Medical Faculty, followed by subspecialty training in sports arthroscopy and arthroplasty at Alexandria University, El Hadar Hospital in Egypt. His professional journey is marked by significant academic and clinical contributions, reflecting his commitment to advancing orthopedic surgery in Ethiopia.
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Deksisa is the Chief Executive Officer of Dream Orthopedic, Trauma, and Spine Center in Addis Ababa, where he has been instrumental in enhancing the quality of orthopedic care. His previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Hawassa University Referral Hospital and working as a medical doctor at Haramaya University. Dr. Deksisa’s expertise and leadership in the field are further evidenced by his numerous teaching and administrative positions, demonstrating his dedication to both patient care and medical education.
Dr Mamo studied doctor of medicine degree from Addis Ababa University College of Health Science. He also did post-graduation in the Black Lion Hospital Orthopedics Department of AAUMF. He provides subspeciality diagnosis and treatments for arthroscopic knee surgery, arthroscopic bunion surgery, arthroscopic knee surgery meniscus, arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, and arthroscopic knee replacement surgery.
