Dr. Abenezer Tirsit

Dr. Abenezer Tirsit is a neurosurgeon at Addis Ababa University (AAU). He is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery who has been working as an expert in neurosurgery since 2014. He is also a clinical PhD candidate at the University of Bergen, Norway and a member of leading associations, such as Ethiopian Medical Association.
Dr. Tirsit completed his medical studies and specialization at Addis Ababa University. Soon after, he became interested in evidence-based medicine for treating neurological problems. This happened when AAU was equipped with a database unit. Dr. Tirsit actively involved himself in research and attained many positions of honor. He was also the senior delegate for the Society of Ethiopian Neurological Surgery Professionals.
Dr. Tirsit’s immense exposure in the field of neurology lends him an expertise in various aspects of the practice. He has been actively involved as a practictioner at AAU since 2010. His commitment to help patients with complex neurological diseases enables him to keep advancing his skills in this domain.
