Dr. Tsegazeab Leake
Dr. Tsegazeab Leake is a neurosurgeon in Addis Ababa. He is associated with Addis Hiwot General Hospital and MCM Comprehensive Specialized Hospital. Dr. Leake has been practicing neurosurgery for over a decade and specializes in brain aneurysm surgery, vascular surgery, treatment of subdural hematoma (bleeding in the brain), and brain tumors. He is an active member of the Society of Ethiopian Neurological Surgery Professionals (SENSP) and is dedicated to improving neurological care in Ethiopia.
Dr. Leake completed his medical studies and residency at Addis Ababa University (AAU). In the past, he has been involved in many national projects conducted by AAU to asses the pre-and post-operative needs of patients with brain and spinal conditions. He led the project Neurosurgical Outcome Monitoring Database Project organized by AAU and supported by the University of Bergen and Haukeland University Hospital in Norway. He is also known for his research on chronic subdural hematomas and trigeminal schwannoma. Dr. Leake has overseen pioneering developments in the neurosurgery domain in Ethiopia and continues to bring future innovations steadfastly.
