Dr. Fikru Tsehayneh

Dr. Fikru Tsehayneh is a neurology specialist in Addis Ababa. He is an Associate professor of Neurology at Addis Ababa University (AAU) and is affiliated with many top hospitals in Addis Ababa. Dr. Tsehayneh treats a range of motor neuron disorders and brain and spinal issues at Washington Medical Center, Axon Stroke and Spine Center, and Lancet Beherawi Specialized Medical and Surgical Center. He holds over a decade of experience in treating patients with headaches, Parkinson’s Disease, Epilepsy, and movement disorders. His expertise spans using neuroimaging techniques to understand complex cranial conditions, and treating and providing post-procedure care and counseling to patients.

Dr. Tsehayneh is also competent in open and minimally invasive cervical spine surgeries to restore mobility and treat degenerative disorders and traumatic injury. He has handled hundreds of neurology cases in the major nerve hospitals in Addis Ababa after completing his M.D. in Neurology. In addition to clinical services, he is an eminent researcher who has authored over 11 papers highlighting his insights on neurodegenerative diseases in Ethiopia. Dr. Tsehayneh is one of the few stroke and vascular neurologists in Addis Ababa who is experienced in treating a wide variety of disorders.
