Dr. Eskinder Tesfaye
Dr. Eskinder Tesfaye Negussie practices as a consultant Internist at Addis Hiwot Hospital. He is an expert in the fields of tropical medicine and gastroenterology and has wide experience in diagnosing, investigating and managing imported infections like malaria and hepatitis. In addition, Dr. Tesfaye holds specialized training from Kenya, Europe, and America and related experience in clinical management of HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Eskinder Tesfaye completed his specialization in internal medicine at Addis Ababa University. He went on to pursue fellowship training in gastroenterology from South Korea’s Krankenhaus Salem University Teaching Hospital for the University of Heidelberg. During this time, he learned diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, ultrasound, ERCP (Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) and liver biopsy techniques under Professor Helmut Karl Seitz. Besides gastroenterology, Dr. Tesfaye is skilled in diagnosing and managing neurology, nephrology, and cardiac conditions.
Dr. Tesfaye’s continuous efforts to enhance his skills and the care landscape in Ethiopia made him steadily climb the ladder of success. He became a guest doctor at the Department of Internal Medicine Krankenhaus Salem, University of Heidelberg in Germany. Further, he was appointed as the advisor for Adult Antiretroviral Treatment at the International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH Ethiopia). He also worked at Wahington Medical Center as an internist gastroenterologist, providing UGI and LGI diagnostic endoscopy services. Dr Tesfaye’s passion for his field reflects well in his endeavours so far. He is one of the most preferred internal medical doctors in Addis Ababa whom patients can fully trust.
