Dr. Jiksa Dabessa

Dr. Jiksa Dabessa is an internal medicine doctor, gastroenterologist, and endoscopist in Addis Ababa. He is the director of Medical Planning at Myngsung Christian Medical Centre. Dr. Dabessa is a highly experienced internist and gastroenterologist with vast training in different types of endoscopic procedures to diagnose issues in the digestive system. He has done an M.D and post-graduate specialty certificate training in internal medicine from Mekele University.

Prior to his current role as the director of Medical Planning at MCM, Dr. Dabessa was a Vice Dean of Clinical Affairs. His interventions have played a crucial role in making MCM a place of choice for high-quality GI and liver disease treatments. Dr. Dabessa is also one of the few medical specialists in Addis Ababa who is trained in endoscopic ultrasound. This has allowed him to diagnose and manage conditions like pancreatitis, sarcoidosis, and bile duct stones in people. He is committed to helping fellow Ethiopians benefit from the rapidly advancing field of gastroenterology.
