Dr. Dawit Kebede
Dr. Dawit Kebede is a pulmonologist and critical care specialist in Addis Ababa. He is also a certified internal medicine doctor. Presently, he is the Assistant Professor of Medicine at Addis Ababa University (AAU). Dr. Kebede also provides medical services and consultation to patients at Hallelujah General Hospital. His major clinical interests are renal and respiratory failure treatments for intensive care patients. He has a strong academic background, having completed MBBS, M.D., and fellowship training. Dr. Kebede has undergone the rigorous Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship, after which he served as the head of the Intensive Care Unit of Tikur Anbessa (Black Lion) Specialized Hospital.
Besides clinical service, he is also an avid researcher. His latest research examines the molecular profile of lung cancer in Ethiopia. Dr. Kebede is one of the few eminent pulmonologists who has received the opportunity to work with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health. He has prepared a number of training manuals for budding surgeons in order to increase medical assistance for patients with lung and respiratory conditions. A gentle and compassionate professional, Dr. Kebede works dedicatedly to serving the poor in Addis Ababa with the goal of making Ethiopia well-equipped to address the health issues of its increasing population.
